Causes of Childhood Obesity

Obesity is defined as an excessive accumulation of body fat. Obesity is present when total body weight is much more than 25 percent fat in boys and more than 32 percent fat in girls. There are a variety of medicines like Phentermine, Adipex etc. which aid in the weight loss for adults but these medicines are definitely not meant for kids.

Causes of Childhood Obesity:

- Family: A child whose both parents are obese has a greater chance of developing obesity as compared to other kids. This can take place for a assortment of reasons like genetic elements or may be the sedentary way of life of the parents or the lack of exercise in their every day routine. This can make the child born with obesity.

- Inactive Life: Children these days invest a lot more of their time on playing video games and watching T.V. This has prevented the kids of nowadays to engage in some healthy ground activities like sports. Hence youngsters are gradually becoming couch potatoes. Leading an inactive life has made them grow into an obese from just being overweight.

Introduce Your Children To Musical Instruments Early In Life For Better Brain Development

These studies about music and it’s cognitive advantages on human intelligence have been studied in kids of a variety of age groups from infancy all the way into adult hood. Dr. Gordon Shaw wrote “Keeping Mozart In Mind” which examines the scientific correlation between making music and brain development and studying. According to Shaw, the “Mozart Effect” is known to permit a window into higher brain function. This appears to effects people of all ages, ethnic groups, and socio-economic groups.

In March 1999, the Neurological Study published the most recent study headed by Shaw and reported that second grade students who played the piano scored 27% greater in math performance tests.

All who analyze and report on the state of education in America agree – our system is failing or need to I say has failed. And it continues to get worse – if that’s achievable. Why? The entire system is archaic, backward, outmoded and irrelevant!
